Note: e 15, 2010, at Frederick Memrial Hospital. Born July 7, 1926, in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Elwin Yeoman and Helen Kovac Pendell. She graduated from Cranston High School and Dean Academy in Massachusetts. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island, where she was a member of Chi Omega, she worked at the Army Map Service in Washington. It was there that she met and married Carl Montuori (deceased) with whom she raised five daughters. Marilyn also worked as a mediator for the Montgomery County courts system, in addition to volunteering as a victims rights advocate, and for the League of Women Voters. She was an avid traveler and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a golf enthusiast and a talented artist, and was a former competitive swimmer. She enjoyed spending free time at the beach. She is survived by one sister, Barbara Pendell Smith, of Warwick, R.I.-- She is also survived by five daughters, Drucilla McLane of Walkersville, Susan Montuori of Wast Palm Beach, Fla., Kristen Lamberger of las Vegas, Nev., Debbie Montuori-McDonald and husband, Steve McDonald, of Frederick, and Karen Guinan and husband, Kevin, of Rocky Ridge; 10 grandchildren, Ryan, Bethany,CJ, Matthew, Stephanie, Courtney, Sierra, Kianna, Jack and Brendan. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ms. Monturi will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville, MD 21793. Funeral services and interment will be private. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice.
