a. Note:   Evelyn Grace (McKenney) Ackeret, 12/14/1913-8/13/2010 Evelyn Ackeret passed away peacefully on August 13, 2010 at her Roseville home. She was born December 14, 1913 in Rutherford NJ to Walter and Mayme Grace McKenney. She attended Drake Business School and worked in New york City before moving to California. In 1937 she married Edward Ackeret and they raised three children while living in Antelope. She retired from the United States Postal Service in 1976. Evelyn was active as a memeber and officer in many organizations including the Antelope Grange, First United Methodist Church of Roseville, 4-H, NARFE, and Root Cellar. She is survived by her daughter, Frances (LeRoy) Jones; two sons, roy (Pat) Ackeret and Kenneth Ackeret; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild. Services will be held at Mount Vernon, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, Calif., on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 10 a.m. Memorial gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers. The family wishes to thank First Call Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
