Notes
a. Note:   H402
Note:   According to the 1910 census, Michel & Maria had 11 children with 9 living. Maria's death certificate stated she had been born in Covington, Kentucky. However, the records of St. Paul's Church in New Alsace which had been microfilmed by the LDS states she was baptized in New Alsace. Catholic baptism occurs very soon after a child's birth; therefore, the death certificate must be wrong as to her place of birth. Maria was living in South Muddy Township, Jasper County, Illinois, when she and Michael got married (LDS microfilm #1312612). The marriage register spelled Maria's last name Agner instead of Egner. Her father's name was also spelled Agner instead of Egner. The mother's name was spelled correctly: Josephine Klump.
