Note:   Lived in Barton Co. MO until 1902. Moved to California near Banning, Riverside Cal. Moved to Orange Co, near Wintersburg (now Huntington Beach), 1906. Frank was a blacksmith, owning and operating a shop first in Wintersburg and then in Huntington Beach. He did extensive work for farmers in sugar beets and bean production. Owned some town lots in Huntington Beach where oil was discovered in 1922. He invented and patented oil drilling equipment designed to prevent sand from clogging drilling machinery. Health concerns caused him to give up blacksmithing in 1929. Worked for oil storage companies and was last emplouyed as a grounds keeper at Meadowlark Country Club.
