Notes
a. Note:   Julia is listed as "Julia Gibbs" in the 1880 St. Clair County, Alabama Census, the Step daughter of John W. Wilkerson. She was probably the natural daughter of Malinda by another man, but could have been an adopted child. She adopted the name Wilkerson and she was an integral member of the Wilkerson family. She was present for the last full family photograph taken circa 1943. (Copy in the possession og Grant Simpson, original in the possession of Bill Judd). The story of the Sanders Family in "The Heritage of St. Clair County, Alabama" states that Jim and Julia lived in Shoal Creek Valley, 8 miles from Coosa River.
