a. Note:   byterian church. Death was due to old age and the effects of a fractured rib caused by a fall. For eighty years Mr. Pickel had lived on athe farm where he died. He was born at Pottersville on the farm on which his father located, when coming there from Holland. Mrs. Pickel died many ears ago. A son-in-law, James Thurston, a veteran of the Civil War, who lived with Mr. Pickel, died about fifteen years ago. Since then the farm had been in charge of Mr. Pickel's grandson, Henry Thurston. The grandson died after a short illness and was buried on Saturday, March 5. Six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren survive. A brother, Henry Pickel, of Madison, is ninety years old.
