a. Note:   MR. BERT CLINTSMAN
 At a late date your correspondent has been requested to write a few lines on tbe death of Bert Clintsman who died at his home at Cranberry Lake. Nov. 9th. 1929.
 He was found dead in his bed with his hands crossed over his breast a bullet hole through his body and a gun lying on the foot of the bed. the Coroner was called and pro­nounced it suicide.
 Bert was always a jolly good fellow and his death was a great shock to his family and friends He was born Aug. 21st, 1875. the son of Orville Clintsman and Matie VanSant, his mother is still living, his father died several years ago. He was married to Addie Hull March 22, 1906, one child was born to them, Leta, who lived to the age of eight years and was burned to death at her home near the dam at Cranberry Lake. 13 years ago He had been a member of the Osweratchie Lodge. No. 687 F & A M for the past six years. Thev had lived for the past 15 years "at Cranberry Lake He is surrived by his widow, his mother, one brother Stanlev who lives at Carthage,two Mrs. Herb Dean of Cranberry Lakeand Mrs. Roscoe Towne of Clare. His funeral was held from the Presbyterian church of DeGrasse under the direction the F. & A. M. with Rev Nichols of Oswegatchie officiating. Burial was in the DeGrasse cemetery beside his little daughter.

  He was buried in Pleasantview Cemetery, Clare, St. Lawrence Co., New York.
