  Ethel Marian Wise
  June 28, 1905 - March 4, 2006
  Ethel Marian Wise, 100, of Akron died March 4, 2006, at the Sterling Living Center in Sterling. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the Brenner Funeral Home, 175 W. 3rd St., Akron. Interment will be in the Akron Cemetery.
 Ms. Wise was born in Whiting, Iowa, on June 28, 1905, to Rickie F. and Arthur L. Wise. She attended school in Oto, Iowa, and in 1934 accompanied her mother, who had severe asthma, to Akron. Ms. Wise was the eldest of nine children. She lived in Akron in her own home until shortly after she celebrated her 100th birthday when failing health required that she move to an assisted living facility. Ms. Wise never married.
  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Wayne Wise and his wife, her brothers Arthur, William and Harold Wise; two brothers-in-law and three nephews.
  Ms. Wise is survived by her sisters; Betty Guida of Phoenix, Edna Barcal and Alice Alexander of Phoenix, Myrtle Egger of Primghar, Iowa; three sisters-in-law; 14 nieces, nine nephews and their subsequent generations of offspring.
  Memorials may be made to the Akron United Methodist Church, 101 W. 3rd St. Akron, CO 80720.
