Note: B. A., as he is called, is an outdoors man. He was the proprietor of Morrison Lodge on the Rogue River, near Grant's Pass, Oregon. The family took over operations at the resort in 1964, and it is presently being run by B. A.'s daughter Michelle. - B. A. has also been active in the design and testing of river rafting equipment, which is also a big part of the resort's activities. - Following the death of his first wife B. A. married a local widow named Leona (Briggs) Whaley. The couple spends their active lives between Oregon and an outdoors mans lodge in South Dakota, also presumably owned by the Hanten family. - Obituary: Bernard Albert BA Hanten, 72, Merlin, Ore., died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at his home in Merlin. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, White Lake. Burial will be in White Lake Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell.
