She lived in North Carolina. Her husband moved to Richmond, Virginia. She moved to Richmond with him. He died on January 25, 1985. She moved to Portsmouth, Virginia where she lived with her sister, Jessie Vera Faison. She was a mild-tempered, sweet lady who spoke her mind, and gave you the best advise.
She died on January 27, 1996 at the age of 96. Her death residence and benefit location was Richmond, Virginia.
I remember talking to Aunt Alma many days during the 1990's. She spoke up for what she believed in and she was a lady who bounced back from many physical battles. I was counting the days that would lead to my aunt turning 100 years old, because Noone in the family reached the age of 100 years. She died four years short.
She remember many events that occurred in the Bynum and Davis family but she couldn't remember dates. She would talk to me for hours at my grandmother's house. She was living there when my grandfather, Joseph, was living. Aunt Lenora, my grandmother, Vera Faison, and her daughter, Evelyn lived together in the same house. Evelyn was the nurse for Maggie Corprew, the mother of the coroner, Tip Corprew, before she died. After her mother died Evelyn moved to Dale Homes where she lives today alone.
