On May 28, 1740, Peter Perine, of Richmond Co., conveyed to his son, Peter Perine, of Perth Amboy, N. J., a piece of land on Matchaponix Creek, Middlesex Co., N. J. Witness to deed was William Perine. (Liber F 2, of deeds, p. 108, Trenton.) On Dec. 17, 1741, William Perine, of Perth Amboy, N. J., conveyed a piece of land, adjoining the above piece, being the same as conveyed to him on May 27, 1740, by Peter Perine. John and Peter Perine witnesses to deed. (Liber F 2, of deeds, p. 95, Trenton.) Ann(e) Holmes was a daughter of Samuel Holmes and Alice Stilwell, of Gravesend, L. I. Samuel Holmes was born 1642, d. 1679; married Dec. 26, 1665.
