  Peter Perine(i) lived and died at New Dorp, Staten Island. On May I, 1713, he bought a tract of about 400 acres on the Raritan River in then Monmouth Co., N. J., from John Hampton. (Ibid, vol. 21, p. 33; East Jersey Rec, Liber A 2, p. 316.)
  On June 5, 1717, he sold 300 acres on the Raritan River to David Besset. (See East Jersey Records, Liber A. 2, p. 319.)
  On May 28, 1740, Peter Perine, of Richmond Co., conveyed to his son, Peter Perine, of Perth Amboy, N. J., a piece of land on Matchaponix Creek, Middlesex Co., N. J. Witness to deed was William Perine. (Liber F 2, of deeds, p. 108, Trenton.)
  On Dec. 17, 1741, William Perine, of Perth Amboy, N. J., conveyed a piece of land, adjoining the above piece, being the same as conveyed to him on May 27, 1740, by Peter Perine. John and Peter Perine witnesses to deed. (Liber F 2, of deeds, p. 95, Trenton.) Ann(e) Holmes was a daughter of Samuel Holmes and Alice Stilwell, of Gravesend, L. I. Samuel Holmes was born 1642, d. 1679; married Dec. 26, 1665. (Liber 1 of Wills, p. 341, N. Y. County Surrogates Court.)
  Alice Holmes was a daughter of Lieut. Nicholas Stilwell and Anne, his wife, of Gravesend, L. I.
