Notes
a. Note:   In May of 1846, Bernard and Christina and their three small children, three trunks, and six beds probably traveled by train to Antwerp, Belgium where they boarded the Swedish Barque Olof and sailed to New York. Captain of the boat was Johan Olof Almgren. Also traveling with them were Joanna's aged parents, John H. and Adelaide Albers, and William and Adelaid Rohenhorst and their six children, two trunks, one basket, and one bed. They arrived in New York on June 1, 1846. The ship passenger list says they are all from Niederwesel. It also misspells their names. It reads B. Unterberg age 40, Anna Chris age 39, Gertrud age 8, Johan age 6, Hendrick age 3, Joh H. and Adelaide Underberg instead of Albers, both age 70 and Wm Rohenhurst age 47. They must of traveled the fastest route to Milwaukee, Wisconsin because on June 20, 1846 Wendelin Sipple of Walworth County, Wisconsin sold to Bernard Underberg and William Rohenhorst a piece of property given as 80 acres for $300.00.
