Note: 1848 In December of this year Casper Klute was born, in St. Louis, Missouri. The beginning of the year saw a "Treaty of Peace", but before Casper dies he will see and hear of many wars. American Minute with Bill Federer 2 February 1848 1848 - February 2, the United States Congress ratified the peace Treaty which ended the Mexican War and, in exchange for 15 million dollars, brought the territories of California, Nevada, Utah, and parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming into the Union.
