Ordered that letters of admin. be granted to Salley Gilbert and Bird Gilbert on estate of Michael Gilbert, dec�d. Page 71- bk. Page 249- courthouse-Mrs. Salley and Bird Gilbert admin. of Michael Gilbert, dec�d. She brought her family into Texas and received land grant from Austin's Original 300 settlers. She dies in 1839 and Preston and Jasper L. Gilbert ask for her succession.
 From Handbook of Texas has the following infomation;
 GILBERT, SARAH (?-?). Sarah Gilbert apparently was not in Texas early enough to be listed in the census of March 1826; but, as one of Stephen F. Austin'sqv Old Three Hundredqv colonists, she received title to a league of land now in Wharton and Fort Bend counties on May 11, 1827.
