  Sue Burgess Clodfelter
  MOORESVILLE -- Ms. Clodfelter, 86, of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2005, at Genesis Eldercare, Mooresville. Born September 21, 1919, in Cherokee County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Goley G. and Myrtle McDonald Burgess. Mrs. Clodfelter was retired from Troutman Shirt Company and also worked at The Little Kitchen, Mooresville, for many years. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church, Mooresville where she was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years and was very active in the church.
  Mrs. Clodfelter was preceded in death by her husband, Perry T. Clodfelter; son, Howard Lemont Clodfelter; and brothers, Harold, Truman and Hoyt Burgess.
  She is survived by her children, Roger F. Clodfelter and wife, Cheryl, of Charlotte, Vernon W. 'George' Clodfelter and wife, Harriet, of Salisbury; daughter-in-law, Linda Clodfelter, of Landis; brother, Troy Burgess, of California; and grandchildren, Anthony 'Tony' Clodfelter, of Kannapolis, and Chad Clodfelter and wife, Alicia, of Concord. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, Sunday, October 23, 2005, at Berea Baptist Church, Mooresville, with Rev. Dan Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8 PM, Saturday, October 22, 2005, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville. Memorials may be made to Berea Baptist Church, 1015 River Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28115, Amity Presbyterian Church, 2831 N. Sharon Amity Rd., Charlotte, NC 28205, or First United Methodist Church, 110 West Church, China Grove, NC 28023.
