Continued: The Spartanburg Herald, Spartanburg, S.C., January 21, 1995 Crawford C. Lavender Mayo - Crawford Coil Lavender, 76, 171 Shady Grove Road, died Jan. 20, 1995, at Magnolia Manor in Spartanburg. A native of Union, he was the widower of Mildred E. Lavender. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a retired employee from Pacific Wire and a Baptist. Survivors include four sisters, Elsie Godfrey and Pauline Stark of Mayo, and Lucille Dalton and Doris Cook of Black Mountain, N.C.; three brothers, Horace, Floyd and Authur Fox, all of Black Mountain, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the home of a sister, Elsie Godfrey, 131 Shady Grove Road, Mayo. Cryptside services wll be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Acacia Memorial Park, in Bothell, Wash. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Special Needs Fund, c/o Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, 101 E. Wood St., Spartanburg, S.C. 29303 The J. F. Floyd Mortuary, Greenlawn Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
