a. Continued:   The Spartanburg Herald, Spartanburg, S.C., July 20 1988 Ethel B. Lavender Ethel Blankenship Lavender, 84, of 431 Spruce St., died July 18, 1988, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Madison County, N.C., she was the wife of Thomas Walter Lavender and daughter of John Quency and Lou Sindy Hipp Blankenship. She was retired form Beau- mont MIlls after 30 years of service and a Baptist. Also surviving are three daughters, Edna L Brown of Inman, Mary H. Pelletier of Rock Hill and Jewell G. Nalley of Spartanburg; three sisters, Maude B. Lavender of Great Falls, S. C., Lillian B. Parker of Mooresville, N.C., and Texie B. Justice of Imporia, Va.; two brothers, Earl Blankenship of Leona, Texas, and Roscoe Blankenship of Crew, Va.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at Floyd's Green- lawn Chapel. Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the chapel by the Rev, David Swofford. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaumont Baptist Church, Building Fund, 717 N. Liberty St., Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
