a. Continued:   The Spartanburg Heral, Nov. 14 1941 CHEROKEE MAN IS FOUND DEAD ON RAILROAD TRACKS Indentified by Officers as James R. Medley, Textile Worker Gaffney, Nov. 13 - The body of a man identified as James Andrew Medley, 31. textile worker, was found on the railroad track a mile north of Blacksburg early this morning. Sheriff R. B. Bryant and other investigating officers said the man's head was crushed, apparently either by a fall or a blow. The body was found lying face down, one arm doubled beneath. Underneath a heavy sweater a package of lunch was found. Inquest Planned Medley, resident of Alma Mills community, had been employed at Kings Mountain, N.C., and was believed to have been en route there when he met death. Coroner W. P. Batchelor empaneled a jury which viewed the body. An inquest will be held later. Funeral services will ne held at Corinth Baptist church Saturday after- noon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. J. M. Hill and the Rev. E. J. Clary will officate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Lila Burgess Medley, and four sisters.
