Note: Estena (Teen) Estes 2011-08-24 / Obituaries Estena Littleton Moseley Burgess Estes, 99, of 104 Claiborne St., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at her residence. Born in Pine Mountain, Ga., she was first married to the late George Moseley Jr.; then married to the late Brockman Burgess; and then married to the late Jess Estes. She was the daughter of the late Sanford Littleton and Charlotte Holland Littleton. Mrs. Estes retired from the Cherokee County School District and was a member of Limestone Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Moseley Sellars and husband, Larry, of Gaffney and Carolyn Moseley Walker and husband, Bill, of Madison, N.C.; two grandchildren, Larry Sellars Jr. of Gaffney and Todd Sellars and wife, Allison, of Waynesville, N.C.; five great-grandchildren, Carolyne Sellars, Katie Sellars, Maegan Sellars, Sierra Sellars and Nolan Sellars; and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Estes was preceded in death by a brother, George Littleton, and three sisters, Mary Louise Moore, Lillie Stegall and Lennie Maness. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, at Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. Christine Herrin officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
