a. Continued:   Only child of the marriage of Emanuel Burgess and Amanda Williams. Charles was born in Walton Co GA. He married Lula Jane Moon in 1891 in Haralson Co GA. He spent most of his adult life as an itinerant farmer or share-cropper, from north Georgia and eastern Alabama to south Georgia and back. He lived in Atlanta GA in the later years of his life. He died there in 1952 and was buried in Haralson Co GA with his wife.
 This branch of Emanuel's family is located primarily in GA, most in north GA, west of Atlanta, with some in south GA.
