 "Mrs. Jennie Heminger, well known to all the old settlers of Haskell county, died at the home of her son in Oklahoma City last Friday. The remains were brought back to Garden City and buried beside those of her husband, A. P. Heminger. She only lacked a month of being eighty years old. The following obituary was furnished us:
 Mrs. Jennie Heminger was born at Raymonds, Ohio, Aug. 3, 1840. Died in Oklahoma City, Okla., Jly 2, 1920. She was married to A. P. Heminger Nov. 3, 1861 at Raymonds, Ohio. They moved to Taylorville, Illinois in 1875 and in 1880 moved to Martinstown, Mo. IN the spring of 1886 they came to Haskell Co., Ks., where they resided for a number of years, having moved to Garden City, Ks., a short time before the death of her husband on Oct. 20, 1899. She leaves to mourn their loss, three sons, the oldest J. L.Heminger, resides at Great Bend, Ks., the other two O. O. and H. F. Heminger at Oklahoma City. Besides the three sons she leaves ten grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. The remains were taken to Garden City for internment. The funeral being held at the M. E. church Sunday July 4th at 4 o'clock p. m.
 The remains were accompanied to Garden City, by H. F. Heminger and wife, O. O. Heminger and wife, Mrs. J. L. Heminger and also a grand daughter Mrs. Gladys Campbell of Wichita, Ks."
 The Glady's Campbell mentioned here is my great grandma Peggy. She died when I was 18, in 1981. She was well into her 90's and lucid until the very end."
