a. Note:   Adam Fleisher was born February 2, 1839 in Pennsylvania and became a farmer and lived with his parents, in 1850 in Center Hill, Center Co. Pa., In 1860 he lived with a Fleisher in Rock Grove, Stevenson Co., IL near Wisconsin boarder. At the age of 21 he enrolled at Waverly Iowa on the 1st day of August in 1862 as a Private in Co. B 38th Regiment and became Corporal in Co. "I" 34th Regiment Iowa Infantry in the service of the United States in the Civil War. He was 5'8 3/4", fair complexion, blue eyes and sandy hair. He was honorably discharged in Huston TX August 15, 1865. He received an injury of the right shoulder, broken by the explosion of a powder magazine in Mobile Alabama July of 1865. After being discharged he lived 3 years in Iowa, 5 years in Berrien Co. Michigan and the balance of his life in Port Huron, MI. In 1881 he was a laborer, lived on Pine between 3rd and 4th ... 1883 same....1885 laborer North East corner 9th and Howard.... 1887-1888 laborer, lived 1107 Ward Street....1900 same....1902 Janitor of Harrison Elementary School, Lived 1107 Ward St. where he spent the rest of his years.
 To Adam and his wife Angeline were born 7 children and they were members of the First Baptist Church. The couple celebrated their Golden Anniversary at their home where they had lived for 32 years. Angeline was born in Ste. Scholasttique, Montreal. Adam pasted away March 25, 1924 and Angeline November 17, 1930, both laid to rest at the Lake Side Cemetery in Port Huron MI.
