Note: n, 72, of Lexington, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Ms. Chaplin was born on February 18, 1933 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Charles E. Moore and Lila Goad Moore. She was a member of the Glasgow Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by three children: Jerry, James and Jean Chaplin and two grandchildren. Ms. Chaplin is survived by two daughters, Margie White of Oxford, PA and Catherine Jones of Lexington; one son, Harry Chaplin of Elkton, MD; two sisters: Lois Potter of Buena Vista and June Nicely of Lexington; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at the Glasgow Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tim Osment and Rev. G. P. Whiteley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. before the service on Thursday at the Glasgow Presbyterian Church.
