It is believed that Josiah and Levi werebrothers. Levi is dead, Josiah is probably helping out hisbrother'w widow. He married his wife in 1850, too but where?1860: Josiah is found in the census for Schuyler County,Missouri, page 656. Liberty Township Federal PopulationSchedule, Missouri Index M00060727771864: His enlistment papers for the Civil War show that he wasenrolled in the Missouri Militia and was a private. He servedunder Captain Banto. He enrolled on April 30, 1864 and wasordered into active service in July of that year. He served for66 days.1880 : Josiah is listed in the census for Graham County, Iowataken in June of that year-page 241. Josiah is 52 years oldwhich verifies his birthdate. He is a farmer and says he wasborn in ???? Carolina. Josiah's father was born in SouthCarolina and his mother was born in Virginia. Living withJosiah is his wife, Hannah who is also 52. She keeps house andsays she was born in Indiana. Her parent's places of birth arenot given. The children with this couple, at this time, are:Hattie/Mattie, age 16?; Henry (Wm.
