Notes
a. Note:   She was born, according to various secondary sources, on: 3 Sep 1807 in her father's family bible, but it has a 1827 copyright.

I suspect she was born 3 Sep 1807 as stated in my 1827 family bible, although it was obviously recorded from memory. There are, however, several reasons why I do not believe the Burlington, VT birth place stated in her death certificate and obit. First, that info was supplied by unidentified family members 80 years after the event. Second, she is not listed in the "General Index to Vital Records of Vermont, early to 1870" which seems pretty complete. Third, in Sep 1807, when Sabrina was allegedly born, her parents were living in Scipio (Rev Francis Ashbury recorded in his journal that he dined with David HAMILTON on 29 Jun 1807 and in 1810 she is one of the 3 girls under 10 living with David HAMILTON in Scipio). Fourth, Sabrina HAMILTON’s 1855 Census states she was born in Cayuga County (I trust this more than other census records because of its specificity).
I have a theory with regard to why secondary sources, especially those since 1850, show such wide variation in Sabrina’s birth year. If it was 1837 that Sabrina HAMILTON (born 3 Sep 1807?) married Walter BLOOD (born 22 Dec 1814), than Sabrina was 30 but Walter was only 22. I suspect that she was embarrassed by the age difference and lied to census takers about her age to make herself born later, but did so inconsistently, such that her apparent birth year varies considerably in the 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 census.
b. Note:   She died of Cholera complicated by inflammation of the kidneys (046).

d. Note:   ogy notes) but "about 1840" in Oswego, NY (according to Sabrina's obituary). I doubt they were married in Oswego. Census records suggest they were living elsewhere. In 1830, Walter was living with his father Isaac in Onondaga, Onondaga, NY. In 1830, Sabrina was living with her father David HAMILTON in Ira, Cayuga, NY. In 1840, they were married and also living together in Onondaga, Onondaga, NY.
Note:   They were married Sept 1838 (according to grandson Frank Blood's geneal
