Arnold said that Jennie remained with her mother but her brother Herman, then 2 years old, was sent to be raised by Moritz SCHLACHET and his children. Morritz was Herman's half brother, a son of Josef's first marriage, but he was old enough to be Herman's father and basically odoted him. Like Sally, Arnold also believes Ester remarried a man named FREY. Arnold believes Ester died during World War I, about 1917, near Zakopane.
