a. Note:   Lee W. Simons Sr., 78, of Elyria Township, died Saturday, Jan 1, 2005, at So. Florida Baptist Hospital, Plant City, Fla., after a long illness. He was born October 1, 1926, in Crawford, and moved to Cleveland in 1950.
  He then lived for 25 years in Lorain before moving to Elyria Township in 1978.
  He served with the U.S. Army in the Philippine Islands and with the occupations forces in Japan during World War II.
  He was employed for 25 years at Ford Motor Company, Brookpark, Ohio, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Family Fellowship Foursquare Church, Amherst, serving as former Deacon.
  Since 1993, he has spent the winters at their home in Plant City, Fla. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and repairing automobiles.
  He is survived by his wife of 53 years Della S. (Wilfong) Simons of Elyria Township; daughter Judy L. Krugman of Lorain; sons: Lee W. Simons Jr. of Lorain and Keith E. Simons of Plant City, Fla. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson Michael Simons in 1989; sister Mary Hull and brothers: Clovis, Paul, Pitt, Virgil, and Wilbur Simons; and his parents Gilbert R. and Jessie B. (Hyre) Simons.
  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9p.m. in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria and 10 a.m. Wednesday til the time of service at 11 a.m. at the Family Fellowship Foursquare Church, 780 Cooper Foster Pk. Rd., Amherst.
  Pastor Bill Mouer, pastor of Family Fellowship Foursquare Church, will officiate and the burial will be in North Murray Ridge Cemetery, Elyria Township, Ohio.
