Sue Ricketson, 2003, provided the article about Victoria from the 5 Jan 1932 The Semi-Weekly Farm News p 4, Dallas, TX "Waco, TX Jan 4 - "Two crops of strawberries in one year are a rarity in Central Texas, but a Waco women, Mrs. Victoria Worsham, has succeeded in securing strawberries twice this year from her garden. The first berries were produced in February, and large strawberries are now to be seen in her yard in East Waco. She ascribes the December crop to the mild weather here during the month." She is in the Waco, McLennan Co., TX Census for early 1900's with a male boarder and census states she runs a Dairy Farm. She is in the 1930 Waco City Directory, also. "Around the turn of the century, a woman named Victoria Worsham fenced off the springs, installed a turnstile, and charged an entry fee, to the resentment of many.
