a. Note:   CHRISTOPHER Conally Brooks passed away December 1, 2004 after an heroic, four-year battle with cancer. Chris was born to C. C. and Ann Connally Brooks on April 26, 1954 at Fort Campbell, KY. His father preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Wilson Brooks and two children, Matthew and Adam Cowart, and his mother, Ann Brooks. Also mourning his death are his sister, Sharon Brooks, his brother David Brooks and wife, Shirley of Wimberley, TX; his brother Alan Brooks and wife, Denise of Thousand Oaks, CA; his brother Robert Brooks and wife, Geri of Kingwood, TX. Also surviving are two half-sisters: Barbara Rainieri of Los Angeles, CA and Susan Labate of Morrison CO. Chris was much loved by all his nieces and nephews - Bonnie, Cristina, Joshua, Jonathan, Jordan, Rachel, Victoria and Alexandra. Chris graduated in 1972 from Pearland High School, and then obtained an engineering degree from the University of Houston. He worked a number of years for companies in Houston and at the time of his death was with Dashiell Corp. He always gave of his time to anyone who needed a helping hand. He spent many hours working for Habitat for Humanity. His service to his family and others made him truly a Christ bearer, as his name implies. Surfing was Chris' favorite sport, followed closely by golf, scuba diving and driving fast cars. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00PM Friday evening at SouthPark Funeral Home. A Celebration of Chris' Life will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, December 4, 2004 in the chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home with Dr. Casey Jones officiating. Interment will follow in SouthPark Cemetery.
