Note: WILLIAM HENRY BECKETT: Circa, April 1901, Published in the Freeport Journal, a newspaper established in Freeport, Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania There was a big party at W. H. Becketts' last Thursday evening. J. B. Stevenson of Crafton, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, visits the Becketts ', and makes the following statement; "There were 42 of us Irish there and I tell you the ice cream had to suffer" Bear in mind: From Winfield, Pennsylvania to Freeport, Pennsylvania, the railroad following along Buffalo Creek from about 1885 into the 1900s� had a passenger car. Family and friends from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania could ride a passenger car from Pittsburgh to Freeport, change to the train from Freeport to Winfield and get off in Boggsville and have relatives or friends in the area, pick them up. In this case, William Beckett�s home was about a city block from the Boggsville Station. Wilda Belle Beckett, his only child, married David F. Shutters, who died in 1991. Wilda lived in her father�s house, until her death, July 03, 2001. Her children sold the home, there after. William F. Johnson conveyed 100 acres and 6 perches of the McCall purpart of "Mount Charles" to William Bickett, November 16, 1853, for $700.35, which the later conveyed to Charles McCafferty, October 5, 1855 for $1,800. (Farm located near Mount Charles, later known as Holly�s Knob, per Holly family residence, later Johnson�s Knob as per Johnson family residence).
