a. Note:   I, Gilbert Alexander sometime Grocer of 276 South Cumberland Street,
 Glasgow,now residing at 45,South Cumberland Street,foresaid,for the
 settlement of the sucession to my means and estate, do hereby assign
 and depone to and in favour of Agnes Hyslop or Alexander my wife all
 and sundry, the whole means and estate heritable and moveable that
 shall belong to me, at the time of my death, with the whole writs and
 vouchers, there of but under burden of payment of all my just and
 lawful debts, and I nominate and appoint the said Agnes Hyslop or
 Alexander, to be my sole Executor, In witness thereof. I have written
 and subscribed this holograph settlement at Glasgow this thirtieth day
 of August, eighteen hundred and eighty one. Signed Gilbert Alexander
 30th August 1881, Glasgow 9th December 1881, this is the holograph
 settlement referred to in my affidavit of this date, to the Inventory
 of the personal Estate of Gilbert Alexander.
