Note: After the death of John David FitzGerrald from smallpox, Frances Anne FitzGerrald married a Civil War veteran, G. W. Bradshaw. He was considerably older than Frances and she faithfully cared for him for many years when he was a bed patient. G. W. Bradshaw is buried in Loco (OK) Cemetery. -Fitzgerrald oral history On the 1880 US Federal Census, Upshur Co., Texas, Frances A's age is 29, which would make her birth year abt. 1851. copied from Lee's file on Francis Bradshaw, Green W. - (CSA), 13th Texas Infantry, Co.D. b.9/11/1833 in Pelham (Grundy Co.), TN; d.11/16/1921 in Loco, OK. Married three times: (1) Emmaline McNorton (b.?; d.? in TX), (2) Mary Rebecca Camper (b.?; d.1899) & (3) Francis Ann Fitzgerald (b.?; d.?).. Said to be buried in the Loco cemetery, but I didnt find his grave on my walk of this cemetery on 12/24/2000. Sources: * OK CSA pension application # 167. from an email from Barbara Ray 10-17-2005 Francis Ann was way down in south Texas because at the time of her death she was visiting the family of her oldest daughter, Juanita Fitzgerrald Lindenborn, in Big Wells. I believe Francis Ann had a heart attack or stroke. Rather than return her body to Oklahoma, they buried her in Big Wells. I have visited her gravesite. I live in California, being part of the family that migrated out here from Big Wells, Texas, during the Great Depression. Actually, I didn't migrate, was born later ... and, I might add, suffered incredible teasing because I was a "prune picker" instead of a Texan! I have more than 50 first cousins, many of whom live in Texas, others in Oklahoma. (My sister and most of her family moved to Kansas and then to Oklahoma a few years ago.) My father was born in Hastings, Oklahoma, and his family moved to Big Wells, Texas, around 1921. I have much data on our line of the family from Francis Ann, all of which I will be happy to share with you. (I don't know how to send files from Family Tree Maker, however, so I may have to send hard copies via snail mail.) I'm still trying to trace the FitzGerrald family past my great-grandfather John David FitzGerrald, who died in 1900. Say, are you a guy or a gal? Lee is a popular name in my family. My Grandmother Fitzgerrald was named Catalee and went by "Lee," her father was Daniel Lee, and one of my Fitzgerald first cousins, Lee Ann, in Oklahoma, is also called "Lee." My sister is Nancy Lee, and there are more. Looking forward to getting to know you better. Barbara
