Note: The book "History of Jones County, GA" has an excerpt of the will for Elisha Trice, in which he refers to "son-in-law, Uriah Jones, the husband of daughter Mary."
It appears he may have been a soldier in the Indian War of 1784-1797. Need to confirm.
In "History of Jones Co., GA" his will was witnessed by Charles Trice. Wife Winnifred is the executor, along with Uriah Jones. The will was written Feb. 6, 1821 and probated May 7, 1821.
In same book, will of Elisha's father, John, mentions son Elisha.
1794 - Elisha Trice on page 45 of GA Tax Index for 1789-99 of Hancock County, GA, Sanford District for year 1794 and 1796- so we know he was in GA by then.
1820 - Elisha Trice is living in Jones Co., GA, Capt. Phillips District.
