1. Title:   Death Certificate

Notes
a. Note:   rs son - Charles Bilger. This is a very unusual name, highly unlikely that it is only a co-incidence.
 2. Henry Arthurs birth certificate stated that his mother was Lydia Spalding nee Salter. However, no evidence that a John Spalding married a Lydia. Henry may have been illegitimate, but his birth certificate has legitimised him. This was common practice at this time.
 3. It was also common in the mid-1800's to move to the cities where the work was. Henry Arthur's birth certificate states that he was born in New Street, Birmingham which is the centre of Birmingham. New Street had a lot of transient workers moving through. John Spalding was noted as being a Law Stationer (clerk), which fits with him being in a city centre. He may well have moved regularly throughout his life.
 4. Henry Arthurs birth certificate states he was born at 105 New Street in 1850. 105 New Street was occupied by the HAWES family in March 1851 (1851 census).
 5. As Henry Arthur named a son Charles Bilger, it may be possible that Charles Bilger (1810) brought up or supported Henry as a child.
 6. At some point the Spalding family moved out of Reading - between when John was born in 1822 and the 1851 census, where there are no Berkshire Spaldings remaining in Reading. I have not been able to find out where the family moved to, but two of the children appear in the 1881 census - Susannah in Surrey (London) and Mary Ann in Gloucester. Both unmarried.
 7. Found a John Spalding who died in Guys Hospital (London) in 1878, who was born in 1822 and who was a Law Writer (same as Law Stationer or Clerk). Guys Hospital is close to where Susannah was living in 1881. Assume this is correct one.
 8. Maybe brother & sister lived together or close by, or it is London where the Berkshire Spaldings moved to. However, note that the informant was an E A C Anderson, not a family member.
Note:   1. Assumption that this is correct John as he has a brother with the same name as Henry Arthu
