  This is what she says:
  Hi Carole,
I am Tina's cousin, we have done alot of research together. When I heard about you, I couldn't wait to talk to you. If you are descended from James Wiley Thompson, b. 11 Feb. 1840, in Haywood Co., NC, then you are definitely related to us.
We have the census copy that you sent. If you have access, check 1850 Bradley Co. TN. There you will find the whole family together, spelled Tomson, page 211. I have also met a descendant of William Haywood. Her name is Helen Pauline Thompson and she lives in Atlanta. I don't want to blow you away with lots of details right now, but I would love to help in any way I can. I am also very interested in any info you have, as I don't have very much on James Wiley & his family. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Talked with Helen Pauline Thompson from 1271 Ruspic Ridge Drive, N.E., Atlanta, Georgia. Telephone: 770-452-7627. She is 73 years of age and has never married. She has a Doctorate Degree.
Helen is kin to us through the Thompson and the Loggins family. India Loggins, who married David Alexander Thompson, was Lou Loggins sister. She remembers Lou Loggins and said she favors "Aunt Lou".
***All the children of David and Anna J. Thompson were in Bradley County, Tenn., with their parents in 1850 listed under Tomson.***
 --------
Movements of David S. Thompson & Anna J.'s family:
David S. Thompson was born 1818 in North Carolina.
Anna J. Thompson, his wife, was born 1817.
1840 David and Anna were in Haywood County, North Carolina.
1840 James Wiley, first son, was born, Haywood Co., North Carolina.
1840 David and Anna moved to Monroe County, Tennessee with James Wiley.
1842 William Haywood, second son, was born, in Monroe County, Tennessee.
1844 Meredith A., third son, was born, Bradley County, Tennessee.
1846 Mercida, (Margaret) daughter, was born, Bradley County, Tennessee.
1850 Milrina, (Malvina) C. daughter, was born, Bradley County, Tennessee.
1852 Mary A., daughter, was born in Bradley County, Tennessee.
1850 David and Anna were in Bradley County, Tennessee. The 1850 census of Bradley County, Tennessee lists all the children of David and Anna.
1860 David S., and Anna J. were in Jackson County, Alabama with 6 children.
1861 James Wiley, son, enlisted in Civil War in Chattanooga, Tennessee, serving with the 1st Tennessee Calvary, Company B.
1861 William Haywood, son, enlisted in Civil War. I think he was in the 1st Tennessee Calvary, Company E. (May be Company B, also).
1866 James Wiley, son, married Frances C. Gunter in Clarke County, Georgia. She was born 1846.
1866 William Haywood, son, married Sarah A. Savannah Cook. She was born 1849.
1867 William Haywood, son, and his wife were in Hall County, Georgia, where his first son was born.
Between 1867-1872 James Wiley and wife, Frances were in Texas and 2 children were born there, Meredith and Mary Ann. They came back to Georgia and another child was born in 1873, Emory, and he died in infancy. NOTE: I have seen that Mary Ann was born in Clarke County, Georgia. This has not been confirmed.
1870 David and Anna were in Dade County, Georgia, with three of their children.
1873 Frances C. Gunter Thompson, wife of James Wiley, died in Jackson Co., Georgia, at age 27, probably from child birth complication after 3rd child, Emory was born. Emory died a month or two afterwards.
1874 David, Sr. dies at the age of 56 in Dade County, Georgia.
1880 William Haywood, son, was in Jackson County, Georgia.
1880 James Wiley, son, was in Hall County, Georgia, with wife #2, named Mary A. and a daughter listed as Georgian, age 15. Georgian would have been older than Meredith, Mary Ann, or Emory, so it is our belief that Georgian was a daughter of Mary A., but she was listed as a Thompson. (It has been confirmed that she is NOT a daughter of James Wiley Thompson, but a daughter of Mary A. Martin LANGFORD. Georgia's name was Georgian Langford.)
1885 Meredith A., son, married Mary Jane B. She was born 1858.
  1890 No census available.
1894 Anna J. Thompson, wife of David S. Thompson, dies.
1899 James Wiley, son, married wife #3, a Sarah Hide in Hall County, Georgia. Sarah would have been 41 years old at that time. She was born 1858.
1900 Meredith A., son, was in Dade County, Georgia. There is a notation that he was in Jackson County, Alabama before he went to Dade County, Georgia.
1900 William Haywood, son, was in Banks County, Georgia.
1900 James Wiley, son, was in Jackson County, Georgia with wife, Sarah Hide.
1903 James Wiley, son, applied for Civil War Pension, which was granted.
1905 William Haywood Thompson, son, died at age 63 in Hall County, Georgia.
1916 James Wiley Thompson, son, dies in Hall County, Georgia at age 76. NOTE: His last pension from the Civil War was being sent to Route #3 in Banks County, Georgia.
1918 Sarah Hide Thompson, wife of James Wiley, died, age 60.
1918 Sarah A. Savannah Cook Thompson, wife of William Haywood died at age 69.
1930 Meredith A., son, died in Dade County, Georgia at age 86.
1943 Mary Jane B. Thompson, wife of Meredith A. dies in Dade County, Georgia at age 85.
