Please let me know when you receive this and I will email copies of documents to you. I wanted to give you a head's up since I intend to scan these and attach it in an email that you will need to open. So far, this isn't my line of Umhoefers, but I'm still hoping to find a connection. The documents state that : Benedict Umhoefer (1804-1891) immigrated to the US. He and Francisca Derleth (1807-1836) had 3 sons: Joseph, Theodore and Gregory. (All 3 sons immigrated with him) This Gregory (1834-1882) and Anna Maria Eichin (1836-1911) had: Peter Paul, Benedict, Gregory(1860-1927), Joseph, Anna Maria, Peter J., Clara, John P. Henry and Jacob. Gregory (1860-1927) and Anna Maria Phillippi had 1 child:Anna Then Gregory married Margaret Minten (1864-1937) They had Edward, Anton, Theresa and Gregory (1903) My information stops there - but you have a LOT of relatives out there - they have even sent me the Catholic Church document from Saal a.d. Saale that states when Benedict left Germany for the US. It is interested that that you also show a Joan Umhoefer. I am hoping that (my) Annie has just been left off one of these lists of names, like perhaps Joan was.... - Kay, Jacksonville, FL |
