Note:   I have found no trace of her marriage in any Scottish records. Since Hugh lived in London he may have married her there.
Intriguingly this Stevenson family seem to have been acquainted with William Brown in Bankhouse who was the witness at the 1794 and 1797 baptisms of Margaret and James Usher, eldest two children of John Usher who was the older brother of Hugh Usher who married Helen Stevenson. John Usher was at that time tenant of Pirn in Stow parish- might this be how his brother Hugh met Miss Stevenson, perhaps on a visit to his oldest brother's then home?
