Note: . He also drove a truck for the state when they built highway 19 from Salem to Cuba Mo. He worked for Purex Bottling Co in St.Louis until he was drafted into the Army. He worked for the Potosi Tie Co. in the 1940's and 50's, he and a crew of six other men carried rail-road ties on their shoulders from the yard into rail-road cars to be shipped to the cresote plants. The work he is best rembered for was driving an eighteen wheeler for Dodds Trucking Co. It was said he was the worst driver on the road, but he always got there first. In his later years he had strong religous leanings and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist at Doss. MO.
Note: Gib was a strong man from a strong family, as a young man he got in as much or more trouble than most. After he and Mom were maried he straightened up and flew right. He spent some time in the CCC group helping to build a dam near Ogden, Utah
