  H.C. Uthe,
 Former O.P.
 Trustee, Dies
  Herman C. Uthe, 68, former vil-
 lage trustee of Orland Park, died
 Monday, Oct. 10 following a long
 illness.
  He was born in Orland Park Nov.
 3, 1891, a son of Henry and Mary
 Uthe, and had resided there most
 of his life. He was formerly em-
 ployed as a carpenter until ill health
 forced his retirement about eight
 years ago.
  Besides serving on the village
 board Mr. Uthe was also a build-
 ing inspector in Orland Park.
  Besides his wife, the former
 Anna Oelke, Mr. Uthe is survived
 by three sons, Alvin, of Chicago,
 and Ellsworth and Harold, of Or-
 land Park; four brothers, Albert, of
 Lockport, Fred and Lawrence, of
 Orland Park, Milton, of Ft. Lauter-
 dale, Fla., one sister, Mrs. John
 (Gladys) Kesser, Lockport; nine
 grandchildren and three great
 grandchildren. Two sisters pre-
 ceeded him in death.
  Removal was to the Schmaedeke
 funeral home, Orland Park, from
 where services will be held this
 afternoon (Oct. 13) at 1 o'clock
 to Christ Lutheran church at 1:30
 with the Rev. Adolph Lach officiat-
 ing. Interment will be in the church
 cemetery.
