Note: Y in 1900 and received a PhD from Harvard in 1906. He taught for many years at City College and wrote many works on philosophy, including an autobiography "A Dreamer's Journey". After his wife's death in May 1942, he lived with his daughter Leonora inWashington DC until his own death. In recognition of his great contribution to CCNY and society, the "New" main library at City College was named after Morris Rafael Cohen, and appropriately called the "Cohen Library." He wrote Faith of a Liberal, Reason and Nature, and Law and the Social Order Note: Morris (Moshe) arrived in this country in 1892. He graduated from CCN
