Note: Harriet was born on Jan. 5, 1924, in Whitewater, Wis., a daughter of the late William M. and Lillian Schultz Underhill, The family moved to Sheboygan in 1927. She attended St. Paul Lutheran School and graduated from North High School. Harriet worked in various offices of the Sheboygan County Courthouse, including the Treasurers Office, Clerk of Court and the Sheriff's Dept. At age 47, she graduated from Spencerian College in Milwaukee and was then court reporter for Judge John Bolgert for 12 years. Following her retirement, she was a receptionist for Catholic Socal Services. Harriet was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she served on various groups, especially the Quilters Guild and Ladies Guild. She was a volunteer at Sunny Ridge [Nursing Home] and a member of the Auxiliary of which she was a past treasurer. She was also a member of the Riverdale 9-hole Golf League, the East Holland Cifizens League, the Sheboygan Co. Historical Society, the Sheboygan Co. Quilters Guild and the Variable Star Quilt Club serving as the club rep this past year.
