  Olive married Howard Johnson. They farmed around Darlington, WI for many years but later moved into town. Howard did some carpentry work and sales for a seed corn company. He died of cancer in 1963. They had three children, one of whom died in infancy.
 Their son Harold was married but has no family. He works for a construction company out of Darlington.
 Elaine married Jack Thomas of Mineral Point, WI. They farmed for a short while before moving to Mineral Point. Jack worked as a salesman for a feed company [Walnut Grove 4X4]. They have four boys: Russell, David, Steve and Mark. Russell lives in Madison and is a machinist for a carton company. He is also a taxidermist. He is married [to Sue] and has a 10 year old daughter, Cheri, and an eight year old son, Jason. David and his wife, Lynda, live in Corvallis, Oregon where he is a professor at the university. He has his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Animal Science. Before taking that job, he and his wife spent two years in the Peace Corps serving in Kenya, East Africa. Their first child, a son [Tristan], was born there. They have three children: Tristan - 8 years old, Carrie - 6 years old, and Melissa that is one year old. Steve married Patricia Korver, lives in Ashland, WI and works for the Department of Natural Resources. Mark is a senior in High School.
 Olive Tyson Johnson is a fine Christian lady who firmly believes in the Word of God and practices her faith daily. She is a joy to be around. (From a letter written to a Mrs. Wozniak in Feb. 1981 by Ermine (Metcalf) Tregoning.)

 DARLINGTON - Olive J. Johnson, age 95, of Darlington, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 1998 at the Lafayette Manor Nursing Home in Darlington. She was born in Lafayette County on August 20, 1903, the daughter of William and Belle (Tregoning) Tyson. On September 22, 1927, she was united in marriage to Howard S. Johnson at the Wardsville Primitive Methodist Church. Olive lived in the Shullsburg and Darlington areas all of her life. Survivors include a daughter, Elaine (Jack) Thomas of Mineral Point; a son, Harold Johnson of Darlington; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Lauretta Weber of Benton, Wisconsin, Marie Bennett, and Helen Tuescher, both of Darlington; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband in 1963; a son, Donald, in infancy; a granddaughter, in infancy; three brothers, Alton, William, and Ernest Tyson; and a sister in infancy. Olive was a member of the Wardsville Primitive Methodist Church and its Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Darlington Homemakers, and the Darlington Garden Club. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 1998, at the ERICKSON FUNERAL HOME in Darlington, with Pastor George A. Schleif of the Community Evangelical Free Church officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Darlington. Friends may call on Saturday, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the ERICKSON FUNERAL HOME in Darlington. A luncheon will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington following the burial.

 Olive J. Johnson was born in Lafayette County, Wisconsin, on August 20, 1903, the daughter of William and Belle (Tregoning) Tyson. Olive was preceded in death by her brothers, Alton, William and Ernest Tyson, and one sister who died in infancy.
 Olive married Howard S. Johnson on September 22,1927, at Wardsville Primitive Methodist Church. They were blessed with three children:

 Harold Johnson - Darlington, WI
 Donald Johnson - deceased in infancy
 Olive is also survived by four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Lauretta Weber of Benton, WI, Marie Bennett and Helen Tuescher, both of Darlington, WI; and many nieces and nephews. Olive was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, in 1963, and a granddaughter in infancy.
 Olive lived in the Shullsburg and Darlington areas all of her life. She was a member of Wardsville Primitive Methodist Church and its Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Darlington Homemakers and the Darlington Garden Club.
 Olive will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
