Notes
a. Note:   Obituary
 Hannah (Dawson) Tregoning
Unknown Newspaper - probably from Shullsburg, Wisconsin
 1929
 MRS. NICHOLAS TREGONING
Hannah Isabelle Dawson, daughter of Jonathan and Jane Dawson, was born June 10th, 1848, and died July 8th, 1929, at Shullsburg, Wisconsin.
On the 18th of May, 1871, she was married to Nicholas Tregoning. Seven children were born, three dying in infancy. She is survived by her husband and four children - Mrs. Wm. Tyson of Seymour, Edwin and Roscoe of the town of Shullsburg and Carrie at home. Also one brother, Jonathan Dawson of Wheaton , Ill.
Mrs. Tregoning, or as she is better known as Aunt Hannah, was widely known in this community. She had the art of making friends and of retaining them. Although 81 years of age she had a young heart and enjoyed life. Her cheerful attitude toward life and her happy disposition was a tonic to those coming in contact with her, enabling them to take the serious tasks of life in a cheerful mood. Strong physically, she endured her share in the warfare of life with good cheer, patience and determination, and when the end came she was ready to hoist the anchor, and like a ship in full sail emerge from the storm into the "haven of her desire."
She will be missed as a kind hearted, loving mother and wife; a good neighbor and a cheerful friend.
Her funeral was conducted at the home Wednesday at two p.m., Rev. W. L. Griffiths officiating.
