Catherine had a sister Thomasine who was born/christened July 20, 1831. If it is a christening date, it fits very well with your birthdate for her of April 11, 1831. Catherine's parents were John and Ann Prideaux. There children and their christening/birth? dates were: John (Nov. 10, 1821, Marianne (Aug. 16, 1823), Josiah (Mar. 5, 1825), James (Feb. 17, 1827), Catherine Jane (Sept. 5, 1829), Thomasine (July 20, 1831), Elizabeth (May 11, 1834), and Matthew Harris (Aug. 19, 1837). All are listed as being born in Ramsgate except Josiah who is listed as being born in Pendarvis Gate. Both locations are just south of Camborne, Cornwall. The parents, John and Ann, are listed in 1860 Wisconsin census as living with Catherine and her husband, Henry Thomas, in the township of Ridgeway, Iowa County, Wisconsin. Since the parents and at least one daughter emigrated, it is highly likely that their daughter Thomasine could also have emigrated and was in the same area in Wisconsin. Do you know the parents of Thomasine? That would cinch it!! Thanks for the information. I think it is a positive link between our families.
