 Cora Johnson
 Cora E. Johnson, 94, Calamine, died Dec. 13, 2004 at Lafayette Manor, Darlington.
 She was born Dec. 20, 1909 in Willow Springs Township, the daughter of Byron and Mary Ellen (King) Bennett. Cora attended Sheldon rural school. She was united in marriage to James "Doc" Johnson on Feb. 4, 1931 at the Methodist parsonage in Darlington. She lived and farmed with her husband in Willow Springs Township for 27 years until their retirement in 1979.
 Cora was a member of the Wardsville Primitive Methodist Church and its Ladies Aide. She taught Sunday School at Wardsville Primitive Methodist Church and was a past president of the Mother Study at Calamine Grade School.
 She is survived by her children: Kenneth B. Johnson, Calamine; James E. (Deb) Johnson, Calamine; Sharon Saunders, Machesney Park, Ill.; two sisters-in-law: Loretta Weber, Cuba City; Helen Tuescher, Darlington; 13 grandchildren: 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Nov. 22, 1992; a grandson, Keith Johnson; two great-granddaughters, Anita Johnsen and Stephanie Johnson; a son-in-law, Tom Saunders; a daughter-in-law, Donna Johnson; two brothers, Henry (Bernice) Bennett and Freemont Bennett; and a sister, Irene Bennett.
 Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Erickson Funeral Home, Darlington. The Rev. Mark Musser of Pleasant View Primitive Methodist Church and Dr. Stewart Dix of First Baptist Church, Darlington, will officiate. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Darlington. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Erickson Funeral Home.
