Obit: WEBSTER CROSSING -- Eliza M. Lawrence, 76, of 7266 Main St., Webster Crossing, died Friday (Nov. 21, 1980) at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia after a long illness. She was a native of Springwater and had resided in the Springwater area since retiring from the Department of Social Services in Rochester in 1961. She was a graduate of Wayland High School, Geneseo State Normal School, and the Rochester School of Commerce. She was a member of the Webster Crossing Methodist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Eva Humphrey of Webster Crossing and Mrs. Josephine Cortnick [sic.] of Holiday, Fla.; three brothers, Lloyd of Sarasota, Fla., Lyel [sic.] of Wayland, Dr. Willis Lawrence of Riviera Beach, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home in Wayland, where services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Ronald R. Grube officiating. Burial will be in Erwin Cemetery in Webster Crossing. Friends who wish may make contributions to either the Springwater Ambulance Fund or the Parkinson Disease Fund in memory of Miss Lawrence.
Note: Attended Geneseo Normal School 2 years. Worked in New York City and in Rochester, NY. Had Parkinson's disease in late life. Her father's journal states: "Thursday, May 5, 1904. Had to go after Mrs. Pardee and Dr. Pratt at 4-30 this morning. Abou
