a. Note:   l says for Sunday, Dec. 17, 1916, "Lottie Cole came about 11 A.M. The doctor came a little later. The last boy arrived about 12-30." His obituary follows:
  Dr. Willis G. Lawrence
  Born December 17, 1916 Died December 19, 1992
  Dr. Willis G. [Larry] Lawrence of Riveria, Fla., Dean Emeritus of the New York State College of Ceramics, died Saturday (Dec. 19, 1992) in a hospice near his home, following a long illness. Born Dec. 17, 1916 in Springwater, Dr. Lawrence grew up in Wayland attending high school there, and entered the College of Ceramics in 1935 to earn a B.S. degree in glass technology. Following his graduation in 1939, he attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology receiving a doctoral degree in 1942. He was married in 1941 to the former Marjorie Eiss, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Linda Lawrence Walters of Erie, Pa.; two sisters, Eva Humphrey of Webster�s Crossing and Josephine Cortnik of Dansville; two brothers, Lyle Lawrence of Dansville and Lloyd Lawrence of Sarasota, Fla. and three grandsons.
  Services were held in West Palm Beach, Fla. A memorial service will be conducted in Alfred in the Spring. Memorial contributions may be sent to Bel Adrick, 5816 East Valley Road, Alfred Station, N.Y. 14803 for a plaque in his memory. (GCE, December 24, 1992, p4)
