a. Note:   ??). Paul's siblings lived in Guilford, CT. He began work for the NY State Department of Labor April 1, 1948.
  Paul enjoyed fishing from his power boat the "Mullet" and would pass through the Moriches Inlet from Great South Bay to the fishing grounds in the Atlantic Ocean on frequent expeditions. On one such outing his friend Wells Tuttle accompanied him. Returning to the Bay through the Inlet they both lost their lives when the fury of the waves proved too much for the small craft.
