a. Note:   Leo Shaver Born July 29, 1913 Died October 8, 1990
  Leo (Lee) Shaver, 77, of Route 256, Scottsburg, died Monday (Oct. 8, 1990) at Noyes Memorial Hospital. Born in Wayland July 29, 1913, the son of Martin and Ruth Jacobs Shaver, he was married Dec. 17, 1938 to the former Thelma Thompson who survives. Prior to his retirement in 1975, he had been a technical assistant at Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea. He was a bus driver for the Dansville Central School District. A World War II veteran, Mr. Shaver served with the Army as a tank driver and had participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of Daniel Goho American Legion Post, the Scottsburg Methodist Church, Dansville Moose Club, Civil Service Employees Association, and was a former member of the Scottsburg Grange, the Fearless Hook and Ladder Fire Co. of Dansville and the Eagles Club of Rochester.
  In addition to his wife, survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Carr of Saugerties; four grandchildren; five sisters, Lola Hill of Mt. Morris, June Dorr of Wayland, Onnolee Henchen of Perkinsville, Chlorena Trewer of Avon, Ruth Stone of Clatonia, Neb.; five brothers, Edwin of Dansville, Kenneth of Nunda, Donald of Dalton, William of Wayland, and Albert of Sumner, S.C.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
  Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Chamberlin Funeral Home Inc. of Dansville where a service will be at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. David Hotchkiss officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Scottsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Scottsburg Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society. (GCE, October 11, 1990, p4)
