a. Note:   1930 Census index, Springwater, age 40 <1889>. Obituary: "Wayland -- Harry C. Schaver, 75, died Friday (June 11, 1965) in Dansville Memorial Hospital, following a short illness.
  "He was a lifelong resident of East Springwater and was born on the family farm April 17, 1890. He was engaged in farming all his life and was active in community and church affairs in Wayland.
  "He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Wayland and was Sunday school superintendent for more than 25 years. He was a 50-year member of the local IOOF lodge, also a member of the Rebekah Lodge and was a committeeman of the GLF organization.
  "He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Tahquette of East Springwater; his stepmother, Mrs. Hallie Schaver of Wayland; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
  "Friends may call at the Don N. Allen Funeral Home here today. Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the EUB Church with Rev. Raymond Horan officiating. Burial will be in Wayland Village Cemetery."
